We now enter the so-called Valencia Basket area. This part of Roig Arena is exclusive to the club and is where the players spend much of their time during the training week. From this corridor, we can access both locker rooms, men’s and women’s, as well as the video room and other club facilities.

MIKI VUKOVIC: He was the head coach of Valencia Basket from 1995 to 2000, becoming, for many years, the coach with the most games in the club’s history. He also led the club to its first major title: the 1998 Copa del Rey.
Before that, he also stood out in women’s basketball with Dorna Godella, where he won several league titles and two European Cups, playing a key role in the growth of basketball in Valencia.
NACHO RODILLA: He was one of Valencia Basket’s most iconic players in the 1990s, known for his outstanding court vision, leadership and ability to run the game. He was part of the team that won the 1998 Copa del Rey and played 9 seasons for our club. He was also an international player for the Spanish national team, taking part in European and World competitions.
VÍCTOR LUENGO: He is one of the most representative players in Valencia Basket history, having spent a large part of his career at the club. He stood out for his defensive intensity, competitive character and commitment to the team. He is the player who has worn our jersey for the most seasons, completing 15 campaigns with the club, and also the player with the most appearances, with 643 games.
He was part of the historic team that won the 1998 Copa del Rey, the club’s first major title, and for many years he was one of the captains and key figures in the locker room. After retiring, he remains linked to Valencia Basket as Director of External Relations.
RAFA MARTÍNEZ: He was one of Valencia Basket’s great references for more than a decade, from 2008 to 2019. He stood out for his scoring ability, defensive intensity and leadership, eventually becoming team captain. He is also the player with the third-most appearances in club history, with 625 games.
With the club, he experienced its most successful era, winning the EuroCup in 2010 and 2014, and the historic 2017 ACB League title, along with other national competitions. He is considered a Valencia Basket legend.
FERNANDO SAN EMETERIO: Nicknamed “El Santo”, he was a very complete player who spent 6 seasons at Valencia Basket. He stood out for his intelligence, scoring ability and experience. He played a key role in winning the 2017 ACB League title, becoming one of the team leaders in that historic achievement.
He was also an international player for the Spanish national team, winning medals in European competitions.
SAM VAN ROSSOM: He was one of Valencia Basket’s great references for more than a decade, from 2013 to 2023. He stood out for his playmaking, tactical intelligence and ability to perform in decisive moments.
With the club, he won major titles such as the EuroCup in 2014 and 2019, and the historic 2017 ACB League title, playing a key role in the team’s greatest successes. He is considered one of the best point guards in Valencia Basket history.
VÍCTOR CLAVER: Developed at Valencia Basket, he was one of the club’s great prospects before making the jump to the NBA, where he played for the Portland Trail Blazers.
He stands out for his versatility, defensive ability and physical attributes, and has been an international player for the Spanish national team, winning major medals. After his time abroad, he returned to European basketball and established himself as a top-level player. He retired at Valencia Basket, completing 9 seasons with the club.
